International Conference on Smart Grids for Smart Cities

Award Professor Deepa Kundur serves as General Chair for  the International Conference on Smart Grids for Smart Cities (SGSC), which is collocated with Smart City 360 Summit 2015 in Toronto, Canada from October 13 to October 16. SGSC 2015 focuses on utilizing new ideas and technologies in the field of smart grid to make our urban environment more sustainable, increasing quality of life and efficiency of urban infrastructure, operation, services, and competitiveness while meeting the needs of present and future generations with respect to economic, social and environmental aspects in smart cities.

Well-Deserved Recognitions

AwardAwardDoctoral Candidate, Eman Hammad (left), was the recipient of the J.L. Allen Yen Scholarship for demonstrating high academic achievement in Electrical Engineering. Masters Candidate, Joseph Dongchan Lee (right), won the H.W. Price Research Fellowship in Electrical Engineering for demonstrating academic excellence in an area relevant to Hydro One.
