Publishing Opportunities

Dear Kundur Research Group,

Please find information on the conference and journal (special issue) submissions that we aim to target:

Journal Submissions

Most journals have rolling deadlines and therefore we internally set our goals and then submit to the journal when we feel a good draft is available. Special issues of journals have specific deadlines. It is sometimes nice to be part of a special issue as the paper may receive more attention and citations from the community who would gravitate toward a coordinated issue on an important theme.

We typically submit to the following journals (among others):

  • IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid
  • IEEE Transactions on Power Systems
  • ACM Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems
  • IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics
  • IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks
  • IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security

In addition, the following special issues may be of interest:

  • ACM Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems
  • IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery
    • Special Section on Resilience-Oriented Protection, Control, and Monitoring Systems for Power Grids (Deadline: August 1, 2020)
      • Authors should refer to: https://site.ieee.org/tpwrd/call-for-papers-news/ for information about requirements, formatting, and the submission website. When submitting, please select the submission type “Resilience-Oriented Protection, Control, and Monitoring Systems for the Power Grids”. Any changes on deadlines or other updates related to this Special Issue will be announced in the “Call for Paper & News” section of the above website.
  • ACM Transactions on Internet Technology
    • Special Issue on Data Science for Cyber-Physical Systems (Deadline: June 1, 2020) NEW DEADLINE!
      • Submission Instructions: Refer to toit.acm.org/authors.cfm and select the paper type “Special Issue on Data Science for Cyber-Physical Systems” in the TOIT Manuscript Central Website.

Conference Venues

We typically publish papers and present at the following conferences (amongst others):

  • IEEE Canadian Conference Power and Energy
  • Conferences at CPS Week
  • Americal Control Conference
  • Symposia at IEEE GlobalSIP
  • IEEE Globecom
  • IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical & Computer Engineering

The following conferences would be good for us to target:

  • IEEE SmartGridComm 2020 (Deadline: April 20)
  • IEEE Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (Deadline: April 30)
    • We have been invited to submit to the Artificial Intelligence for Security of IoT-Enabled Critical Infrastructures Track.
